Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts to the Illinois Capital Area Chapter are among the most valuable. In order to meet the mission of our organization, we must be prepared at all times to respond to an emergency. Unrestricted gifts give us the flexibility to assist our community in whatever way necessary whether providing day to day services and educational programs or responding to a disaster.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts
You may designate your gift in honor or in memory of someone. To do so, you may designate your gift by phone or mail as a tribute or memorial gift. An acknowledgement card will be sent to the honoree/family notifying them of your gift.

Local Disaster Relief Fund Gifts
The Illinois Capital Area Chapter is committed to meeting the humanitarian needs of the people in our communities (Sangamon, Logan, Christian, Macoupin, Montgomery and Menard Counties). The number one priority of the American Red Cross is to provide disaster relief to individuals, families and communities who have been affected by disaster including, but not limited to: fires, tornadoes, floods, winter storms and terrorist activity. During disasters, our primary function is to minimize loss, comfort victims and help them restart their lives by providing basic necessities. Your gift to the Local Disaster Relief Fund will help to provide food, clothing, temporary shelter, first-aid , medications, mental-health counseling and other items necessary to help rebuild lives after disaster in OUR communities.

National Disaster Relief Fund Gifts
You can help the victims of thousands of disasters across the U.S. and its territories each year by making a financial gift to the National Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the American Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

International Disaster Relief Fund Gifts
Contributions to the International Response Fund are used to support a range of global relief efforts. This fund enables the American Red Cross to provide immediate, vital support to victims of countless crises around the world, through supplies, technical assistance, and other support.

Whether supported through an outright gift or planned gift, all Red Cross programs are made possible through the generosity and commitment of people like you. A planned gift to the Red Cross helps to ensure the future of the services and programs we provide in your community and worldwide and may further your financial goals.
